Text Block

What is a text block?

A text block can be used to contain paragraph, headings, list blocks, etc. This block provides you with further flexibility to set the width and add a background color to a grouping of blocks.

Example of a text block

Aenean ut eros et nisl sagittis vestibulum. Integer tincidunt. Vestibulum suscipit nulla quis orci. Proin faucibus arcu quis ante. Fusce egestas elit eget lorem. Phasellus blandit leo ut odio. Fusce neque. In auctor lobortis lacus.

Nam pretium turpis et arcu. Morbi mattis ullamcorper velit. Vivamus laoreet. Praesent egestas tristique nibh. Quisque malesuada placerat nisl. Phasellus magna. Fusce ac felis sit amet ligula pharetra condimentum. Nullam dictum felis eu pede mollis pretium.

How to add a text block

  1. In the page edit view, add a new block called Text block.
  2. A Text block with a paragraph block nested inside will be created.
  3. Type or paste your text or add other blocks. You will be able to add paragraph, heading, list, or custom html blocks.
  4. Select the Text block and change the width/alignment or color scheme, if desired.
    • To set the text alignment from full width to inset, in the block settings right sidebar under Options > Container width, select Inset. Note, this is typically done when the block level alignment in the toolbar is set at full width and you do not the text to stretch across the page along with it. This can cause readability issues on larger screen sizes.
  5. If needed, use the toolbar above the block to further format your text.
