To create a simple table:
- In the page edit view, add a new block called Simple Table.
- The following empty blocks will be placed: a Simple Table block with Section Heading and Table Items blocks nested within.
- In the section heading block, optionally fill out the Heading and Introduction fields or add Calls to Action links by clicking the plus icon in the lower right.
- You also have the ability to add a Table heading and Table Introduction text.
- Select the number of columns and rows that you would like to use for your table. Note that you have the ability to add or delete columns/rows as you are editing your content. Click Create Table when you know how many columns and rows you would like to start with.
- Adjust the following by using the block settings on the right sidebar:
- Fixed width table cells: Toggling this on will keep the table data fixed, and not adjust based on your content’s width.
- Header section: Toggling this on will add a row for header labels. This is required for accessibility purposes.
- Footer section: Toggling this on will add a row for footer labels. This is optional.
- Enter your content into each of the cells. If needed, use the toolbar above the block to further format your text.
- To add or delete cells you can use the table options that appear when you click on a cell in the table. Click the Edit Table icon to access settings to add or delete rows/columns.
- Select the outermost simple table block to change the width/alignment or color scheme.
